Air New Zealand invite James Corden to 'boring' NZ for 'Cockpit Karaoke'
Air New Zealand has challenged talk show host James Corden to take his Carpool Karaoke to new heights.
The airline invited The Late, Late Show star to recreate the popular segment - which has seen the likes of Adele and Michelle Obama in the passenger seat - at 30,000 feet.
In a video posted to Facebook, Air New Zealand addresses Corden: "Hey, James. It's us. Your old pals from New Zealand."
The airline goes on to say, "Mate, we've got a pitch for you. (Lol, pitch. See where we're going with this.)
"Picture this: You. Us. Hashtag views. Hashtag lols. #CockpitKaraoke."
Corden has yet to respond to the invitation, but he surely has some making up to do after describing New Zealand as "a little bit boring" in a recent interview.
It is not the first time Air New Zealand has attempted to enlist the help of a celebrity for one of its campaigns.
Last year the airline reached out to Taylor Swift, inviting her to star in its next safety video.
Swift appears to have ignored the request, as Hollywood actress Anna Faris ended up starring in the most recent safety video, alongside Kiwi comedian Rhys Darby.
