Airbus A350 at Farnborough Air Show take-off video

Updated

An Airbus A350 showed off its impressive capabilities in a near-vertical take-off at an air show in the UK.

The passenger jet performed the aerobatics at the 2016 Farnborough Air Show in Hampshire on July 6.

An aviation enthusiast captured the moment the Airbus took off and made the dramatic climb into the air.

"For passenger comfort the take off is normally much less steep with no dramatic turns," Colin Porteous, who took the video, told the Mail Online.

"The aircraft performed a touch and go landing back at Farnborough after validation, but then departed to Toulouse in France," he said.

The Farnborough International Airshow is a week-long event for the aerospace and defence industries and includes a public air show.

This week, the makers of the world's biggest passenger plane said it expects to deliver 12 of the A380s per year starting in 2018, down from 27 in 2015.

Airbus has delivered 193 of the A380s, which can carry more than 500 passengers. But demand has been soft lately, and airlines including Air France-KLM indicated they don't plan to take all the A380s they have ordered.
