We've heard all the tips and tricks for squeezing clothes into carry-on luggage and with an average 7kg allowance, space is at a premium.

But does rolling your clothes rather than folding actually work? Does anyone really stuff their socks into their shoes?

It turns out they do, and these simple steps can save you a whole heap of space in your precious carry-on case.

However, actress turned globetrotter, Rachel Grant, puts us all to shame by managing to fit a whopping 130 items into her small case.

By using ziplock bags and elastic bands, Grant, who starred in 2002 Bond flick Die Another Day, fits dresses, tops, shoes, and even a puffer jacket into one bag.

In a video posted on Facebook by Biaggi Luggage (the bag she uses - of course), the British actress expertly rolls, folds and packs a massive amount of clothes into the case.

Some people were quick to criticise, saying that many airlines have weight restrictions and this case (8kg) would not meet those rules. But other viewers were clearly impressed and the video has racked up more than 2 million views and 22,000 shares.

The 39-year-old travel writer said she filmed the seven-minute clip after people kept asking her how she packed so much.

"It's funny because these are packing techniques I have used for years," she told the Mail Online.

"It all began when I would travel for beauty pageants and most girls would take 4-6 suitcases for these event-filled trips."
