If you were too busy snowploughing Whistler's ski slopes to appreciate the beauty of the Canadian peaks, soak up the views from the new, fabulously named Cloudraker Skybridge.

The 130-meter suspension bridge connects Whistler Peak and the viewing platform at West Ridge lookout.

Step out to hover 2000 meters above Whistler Bowl, affording a bird's-eye view of the skiiers and snowboarders below.

Cloudraker Skybridge is located right beside the top station of Peak Chair on Whistler Mountain.

The bridge is now open year-round, though accessible only by skiers and boarders in winter, and the lookout's new Raven's Eye viewing platform is a 12.5-meter deck that juts out over the abyss below.

Look out to the jagged faces of Black Tusk, at 2319 meters, and then turn 180 degrees for Rainbow Mountain behind you.

Non-skiers who love the Peak 2 Peak gondola connecting Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, should keep an eye out for a new gondola, as well as chairlifts, bars and decks, all ready for the winter 2018 season which kicks off on 21/11/2018, snow dependent.
