No matter where you go, there they are. You will find them in the streets of Buenos Aires and Bangkok, hiking along the Camino de Santiago or exploring the wilds of Patagonia. These days, they're even cluttering up the slopes of Everest, for goodness' sake. Who are we talking about? We're talking about Bad Travellers.

Bad Travellers are the ones who, despite queuing for half an hour, somehow manage NOT to empty their pockets before going through airport security, setting off alarms and slowing things down even more. The ones who, wherever they go, complain about the funny food and the fact that no-one speaks English.

For those who want to avoid being Bad Travellers, this episode of Flight of Fancy tackles some of the trickiest issues of travel etiquette. How do become ethical travellers, people whose choices and behaviours make the world a slightly better place rather than a more miserable one?

Guest host Ute Junker sits down with Traveller editor Anthony Dennis and Intrepid Travel's Brett Mitchell to look at how the choices we make – from where we go to how we interact with locals – change the world in which we live.
