Eating street food might just be the greatest culinary experience on the planet. All across the globe, in countries as diverse as Thailand and Brazil, India and Mexico, Belgium and the US, Singapore and Morocco, street food provides a cheap and delicious way for locals and travellers alike to chow down on some of the best of their country's cuisine.

You'll find some incredibly good food being cooked up in marketplaces and on street corners all around the world by local people who very often have no formal training as chefs, no fancy equipment, no staff, and definitely no frills. And it's all fresh, it's all local, and it's all good.

I chat to chef Dan Hong and travel food writer Ute Junker, on all things street food - where to find the best cheap eats on the streets, what to order, how to eat it, and what to avoid.
