The Snowy Mountains received their first snowfall of the year.
The first snow of the year has fallen in NSW's Snowy Mountains as temperatures plunged across parts of the state.
A light dusting of snow fell at Perisher, Thredbo and other southern peaks early today as a cold air mass moved north along the eastern seaboard.
Sydney's CBD shivered through a chilly night with temperatures dropping to 10.1C at 6.10am (AEST) and 7C at Campbelltown in the city's southwest.

Thredbo plunged to an icy -5.5C just before 1am (AEST).
A Bureau of Meteorology spokesman says April often heralds the first snows.
"We usually get some colder outbreaks about this time of year," he said.
"It was fairly cool - I know that myself because I rode into work on my scooter."
Temperatures are set to warm slightly across NSW as the week progresses.
Meanwhile, in the Victorian Alps temperatures fell as low as minus 8.9 degrees yesterday, bringing snowfalls.
In Melbourne the temperature plummeted to 11 degrees in the late yesterday afternoon, with rain and wind squalls, while Easter holiday makers at Falls Creek were making snowmen.
Resort spokeswoman Debbie Howie said the weather changed dramatically from warm and and sunny to cold and wintry overnight.
"It's very exciting to see these early snowfalls with dramatic sub zero temperatures" Ms Howe said."Winter is fast approaching and this is a sign what's to come."
