MY BEST HOLIDAY was in Punta Mita, Mexico. I was staying at the Four Seasons resort and it absolutely took my breath away – from the amazing sculptures dotted around the hotel; to the lush vegetation surrounding the place. I swam in the warm ocean every day, which was a real treat, and just relaxed.

THE BEST HOTEL I'VE STAYED IN was Hotel Cala Di Volpe in Costa Smeralda, one of the most luxurious hotels I have ever stayed in. Amazing ocean views and they make a chocolate souffle that comes straight from heaven. Also, you really can't go wrong with the Four Seasons brand. The service, their consistency and attention to detail, are all up there on my list.

I ALWAYS TAKE friends and family – it's always best to share these experiences with those you're closest to.

THE INGREDIENTS FOR A PERFECT HOLIDAY INCLUDE spontaneity and no routine. My life is pretty much about schedules for filming or touring, so being able to come off the grid is perfect. As soon as I arrive at my destination, I take my watch off and unplug.

THE BEST PIECE OF TRAVEL ADVICE is to travel with those who you love, because when you get delayed, lose your luggage, or even get a flight cancelled, you'll need good company to console you! Particularly while you wait in the airport bar – this nanny likes a rum and coke!

MY WORST EXPERIENCE ON HOLIDAY is definitely having an anaphylactic reaction. I was diligent in letting the staff know I was allergic to nuts. I thought they understood, however the dish I ate had nuts in it so I went into anaphylactic shock very quickly and ended up in the hospital.

MY BIGGEST PACKING MISTAKE is packing too many shoes that I never wear. My mind runs away with all the many things I'm going to do on holiday and once I actually get there I realise how tired I am.

NEXT ON MY LIST is Australia. My last visit was a short one and I still have so much more to do. Hopefully work will take me there very soon and then I can tag on a little break afterwards.
