Byrne Homestead
Located 3km from the town on the old Yappara Road, this was one of the first houses in the district. Built in 1898 out of pug and pine it is a reminder of the lifestyle of the early settlers. Ask at the Local Council Chambers for directions and access.

Baan Hill Reserve
Located 20 km south-west of the town Baan Hill Reserve is a natural soakage set among sandhills and scrublands. It has picnic and barbecue facilities.

Billiat Conservation Park
Located 37 km north of Lameroo on the Alawoona Road this 36,815 ha conservation area is characterised by low sand dunes and extensive stands of mallee broombrush. The area is great for birdwatchers. Listen carefully for the western whip bird.
