Wiht its pleasant foreshore and choice of three golf courses, Rosebud is a busy holiday resort and commercial centre of 11 000 people located 78 kilometres south of Melbourne via the Nepean Highway. It is situated on the northern rim of the Mornington Peninsula, facing northwards across Port Phillip to the state capital which lies 50 km away on the opposite shore.
