GRAPE EXPECTATIONS

Small-ship company Windstar Cruises has hired a team of sommeliers to serve guests aboard its ships as part of fleet-wide enhancements to its wine and culinary programs this year. The new sommeliers won't just offer advice in the dining room and at the bar but conduct frequent wine tastings and educational classes. Sommeliers might also accompany guests on culinary-themed shore excursions to local wineries and restaurants. The program has already launched on Wind Surf and Star Legend and will be rolled out on Windstar's other ships for this European summer season.
