Record five million pass through Melbourne Airport

Growth in the emerging international markets such as China and India has resulted in more than five million international passengers passing through Melbourne Airport in a 12-month period for the first time.

Melbourne Airport achieved overall passenger growth of three per cent for the first quarter of 2009/10 with the international market up 10 per cent.

For the year ended September, international passenger numbers were up five per cent to 5.03 million.
