Australian small-ship cruise company Coral Expeditions is deepening its coverage of Papua New Guinea and West Papua with five expedition adventures in 2019 aboard new expedition ship Coral Adventurer. Departures begin and end in Australia, connecting to the ship via charter flights. Genting Cruise Lines has announced the latest addition to its Dream Cruises with the $US30 million ($42.5 million) refurbishment of SuperStar Virgo, which will be relaunched in early 2019 as Explorer Dream. The company will use the ship to venture outside Asian waters for the first time when it homeports in Sydney and Auckland from October 2019, from where it embarks on 21 seven-night itineraries. Among them are Queensland and the Barrier Reef cruises that call at Mackay, Moloolooba, Brisbane and Newcastle; and Tasmania and Melbourne cruises that visit Port Arthur, Hobart, Burnie and Melbourne.
