RIVER ROMANCE

Aqua Expeditions has launched new honeymoon and anniversary cruise experiences for the same price as regular departures on the river-cruise company's Aqua Mekong and Aria Amazon. The romantic-minded will be greeted with a heart-shaped chocolate cake or chocolate truffles, handwritten note and a bottle of champagne, and find the bed in their suite sprinkled with flower petals. There's also a special turndown service on the first night and a complimentary couples' massage in cabin. Passengers on Aqua Mekong will also enjoy a private movie screening and private dinner on the ship's upper deck.

Lava fields, waterfalls, whales and glaciers are among the highlights of a new expedition-cruise package from Adventure Canada and Cruise Traveller to Iceland. The nine-night Iceland Circumnavigation itinerary, round-trip from Reykjavik on the 198-passenger Ocean Endeavour, takes in the spectacular Snaefellsnes Peninsula with its fjords, lava flows and volcano; Grimsey Island to see its million seabirds; Husavik, the whale capital of Iceland; and the Vestmannaeyjar Islands, home to the youthful Eldfell volcano, formed in 1973. The cruise departs on July 4, 2019. Book before September 20, 2018, to benefit from early-bird offers.
