Should you book train tickets in advance in Spain?

Depending on when you're catching the train there is a slight risk that tickets might be unavailable. Booking in advance would be the prudent choice. You can do this on the Renfe site renfe.com although even though this site has an English-language version it's not the easiest to navigate. A simpler option might be to purchase your tickets from Rail Europe raileurope.com.au
