ANTARCTIC SPRING

Poseidon Expeditions has a 20-day Antarctic Awakening voyage on the newly refurbished Sea Spirit departing October 20, 2018, that visits the Falkland Islands, South Shetland Islands and the waters of the Antarctic Peninsula. There are also plans to visit Point Wild on Elephant Island, where Earnest Shackleton and his men spent part of their historic odyssey. At this time of year, penguins and seabirds are returning to their breeding colonies and elephant seals are battling for dominance. The cruise begins in Puerto Madryn on the Tierra del Fuego archipelago and finishes in Ushuaia, both in Argentina.

ON THE EDGE

Celebrity Cruises has expanded the inaugural season of Celebrity Edge, as the new ship will be completed ahead of schedule and enter service earlier than planned. Celebrity is also offering four new Edge Preview Sailings. The three-night Bahamas cruises will also sail round-trip from Fort Lauderdale in Florida, departing on November 21, November 24, December 3 and December 6, 2018.
