WALKING TASMANIA

Coral Expeditions has a new Coastal Treks of Tasmania itinerary with a one-off January 15, 2018, departure. Guests on the seven-night cruise on Coral Discoverer will be led by experienced local bushwalkers Angus and Alison Moore, who have extensive knowledge of Tasmanian flora and fauna, for an immersive experience on some of Tasmania's best walking tracks. Highlights include Mt Beattie, a dramatic section of the Three Capes Walk, the Fluted Cape walk on Bruny Island and a meander along Wineglass Bay. Other shore excursions include an archaeologist-guided visit to Port Arthur.

MUSICAL MEDLEY

Cruiseco has put together a cruise holiday departing Southampton on May 19, 2018, on Celebrity Silhouette that will gladden the hearts of music lovers. Windstar Cruises has launched a new range of back-to-back cruises that provide longer and more in-depth voyages of between 14 and 34 days, with few repeated ports of call. The Star Collector Voyages combine some of Windstar's most popular itineraries and feature overnights in some ports. Among the eight offerings are four cruises in the Caribbean; a 34-day journey between Athens and Singapore via the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia; and a 28-day cruise that highlights Southeast Asia. There's also a Singapore to Beijing and Hong Kong to Tokyo cruise.

SOUTH PACIFIC

The 2018 sailing schedule for Paul Gauguin Cruises features its signature voyages on Paul Gauguin that include journeys of between seven and 14 nights in Tahiti and the Society Islands, the Tuamotus, the Cook Islands and the remote Marquesas Islands. The company is also partnering with the Wildlife Conservation Society during the summer months and holiday season to provide a Stewards of Nature educational and hands-on, interactive learning program for children aged seven to 17 and their families. Additionally, a Wildlife Discovery Series will feature an on-board lecture program focusing on the environment.

ANGLO-IRISH EXPLORATION

A new British and Irish Isles cruise for Tauck Small Ship Cruising in 2018 begins with two nights in Dublin and also visits Belfast – and its Titanic Experience museum – before continuing to the Isle of Man, Liverpool, the colourful Irish seaport village of Cobh, and the Isles of Sicily off the Cornish coast. In Guernsey, there are visits to the German Occupation Museum, a hike to the Guernsey Hilltops or a visit to a gin distillery. Portsmouth and London complete the itinerary.
