TRAVELLING TO ICELAND, WOULD LIKE TO ARRIVE WITH LOCAL CURRENCY. IS THERE ANYWHERE IN SYDNEY THAT SELLS ICELANDIC KRONA? C. SALES, BLACKTOWN NSW

It's highly unlikely that you will find anywhere in Sydney that will sell you Icelandic krona. Banks and other institutions that offer foreign exchange facilities will only hold major currencies, since these turn over quickly. Holding currency notes is in effect dead money, and holding a minor currency with low demand such as Icelandic krone until someone wants to buy it is a losing game for them.

In any case you don't need it. Reykjavik's Keflavik Airport has an Arion Bank and 14 ATMs. I can't recall any international airport where I've landed over the last few years that did not have ATMs or currency exchange facilities at the very least, no need to arrive anywhere with local currency in your pocket.
