The cut-off date for flights for pregnant women

I'M PREGNANT AND WANT TO HAVE A LAST OVERSEAS TRIP BEFORE GIVING BIRTH; WHAT'S THE CUTOFF DATE FOR FLIGHTS?

…according to Bessie Hassan, Travel Insurance Expert at finder.com.au

"Flight cut-off dates for pregnancy depend on a few factors such as airline, whether it's a single or a multi pregnancy and even flight duration. For flights over four hours, most major airlines restrict travel at 36 weeks for single pregnancies and 32 weeks for multiple pregnancies. For shorter flights, you can typically travel up to the end of your 40th week in a single pregnancy or 36th week for multiple pregnancies. Some airlines, such as Qantas, also require a medical certificate confirming that you are fit to fly and have no concerning medical conditions. Visit your specialist before your trip so you aren't caught off-guard at the airport. Some travel insurance brands provide cover up until 32 weeks so shop around online to find one that will cover you. However, your claim might be rejected if you're travelling against medical advice, have experienced previous complications or you're past the cut-off point." See www.finder.com.au [finder.com.au]
