PAUA (ABALONE) RAVIOLI, LOGAN BROWN RESTAURANT

Wellington is famous for its pristine coastline and amazing seafood and our signature dish, paua ravioli with lime beurre blanc sauce epitomises all that's great in our cuisine. Beautiful wild seafood with Asian-inspired flavours, European cookery and amazing texture from the crunchy sweet potatoes garnish. A favourite on the menu since 1996.

STUFFED CONFIT DUCK, FIELD & GREEN

Field & Green has a menu that changes weekly but you can always expect good old-fashioned soul-food, cooked to perfection, using great quality ingredients. At the city's annual food festival, Visa Wellington On a Plate, they'll be serving up a duck and pancetta dish paired with wintry accompaniments of duck fat hasselback potato and cabbage, and plum gravy.

BORN, BURIED AND DUG-UP COCKTAIL, FORRESTERS LANE

Forresters Lane is the city's newest cocktail bar. Its Visa Wellington On a Plate cocktail reads like a mad pirate-themed concoction but is seriously considered with its mix of locally produced spirits including gun smoked rum and vermouth, then buried in a cask for six months, and paired with an equally interesting hangi roasted tamarillo crumble.

ZANY ZEUS CHEESE AND WAIRARAPA PINOT NOIR, MOORE WILSON'S

A third-generation grocery store smack in the middle of the city. Visit the Fresh department for an insight into what seasonal produce from artisan producers the locals are into. Cruise the store with a delicious flat white and pick up some Zany Zeus cheeses and a bottle of Wairarapa pinot noir to enjoy later.
