Some of the world's best nature and wildlife pictures from 2014 are currently on display in Geelong.

The 2014 Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition showcases 100 of the best entries from last year's competition.

The competition drew 42,000 entries across 96 countries.

The exhibition will be on display until March 1 at the Geelong National Wool Museum.

The showcase is part of an internationally touring exhibition which premiered at London's Natural History Museum. The Geelong gallery is the first leg of the tour.
