Bentley Farm

Bentley Farm (now part of Tasmania's unique historic accommodation) was built in 1879 on land which had been used for grazing cattle as early as 1827. It is notable for the fact that the walls of the farm house are three bricks thick. In the main street there is also an old surveyor's building which was constructed about 1840 and the remnants of a two storey hotel (it is now only one storey) which was built around 1850 by Dan Picket, a ticket-of-leave man.
