CORAL GROWTH

Coral Expeditions has released two new voyages aboard Coral Discoverer to the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. An 11-night Cairns to Honiara cruise departs on October 16, 2019 with highlights including visits to historic World War II wrecks and significant sites such as Guadalcanal, Marovo Lagoon and the volcanic hot springs and mud lakes of Savo Island. The second 11-night cruise sails from Honiara to Port Vila on October 27, 2019, with snorkelling and diving in marine reserves and the sunken SS President Coolidge, plus an excursion to the active volcano on Tanna Island.

ARCTIC ADVENTURE

Australian adventure cruise company Aurora Expeditions has launched a new 11-day Arctic itinerary from Reykjavik to Longyearbyen on its new expedition ship Greg Mortimer. The new itinerary, departing on June 12, 2020, sails within 965 kilometres of the North Pole and takes guests through Iceland's Westfjords, to Norway's seldom-visited Jan Mayen Island – the world's northernmost active volcanic destination – and to Svalbard's northwest coast. Guests can take Zodiac excursions past dramatic bird cliffs and glacier-filled fiords, study unique volcanic geology, hike across Arctic tundra landscapes, and kayak through pack ice. Book before December 31, 2018 for early-bird discounts.
