Europe weather photos: Sunseekers embrace the hot weather as a heat hits across Europe

Unusually warm temperatures arrived over the weekend in Europe, sending scores of people to the beaches, pools and fountains to cool off.

The early season summer temperatures hovered around the 30 degree mark in most of France, while in some areas of Spain the temperature hit 40 degrees.

Cities such as Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, are seeing their hottest temperatures of the year thus far.

Temperatures were expected to cool down into the week.
