Thredbo is the ski capital by day and party capital by night of Australia's ski resorts for good reason and this year they're upping the apres ante with a host of DJ talent, live music and some fun on snow programs with Australian Olympians.

Opening weekend

June 10-12

The opening weekend is always a huge celebration but this year there's 60 years of Thredbo to celebrate with live music from Alice Ivy and hip-hop DJ The Faders, plus the dulcet '80s-esque tones of current ARIA favourite, Montaigne. Add fireworks and ice carving, as well as the annual Thredbo Long Lunch with Mumm Champagne.

First Base at Thredbo

July 1, August 5, September 9

Record label Falcona, Canadian Club, Tom Tilley from triple J and Hugo Guzman from Flight Facilities have joined forces to bring Australia's hottest DJs to the snow. Top DJ artists Luke Million, Hayden James and Confidence Man will be mixing it up poolside come apres time.

Thursday night family night

Join Thredbo's "mascots" My Friend Mark, Alf and their furry friends at Thredboland for a children's party followed by a Kids Flare Run when junior gets to ski with his or her instructor under night lights for all the family to watch. Every Thursday at 4.30pm at Friday Flat.

Shred with Torah

July 9

Who doesn't love Torah Bright? Ski and snowboarding grommets can hang with their idol and hit the terrain park, groomed run and off piste with Australia's favourite winter Olympic gold medallist. Children can enjoy a sausage sizzle, pick up some tricks and even win prizes.

Uni Week at the snow

July 16-21

Lego Snow Festival

July 1-15

This one's for the kids and the kids at heart. Throughout the school holidays in July, Lego Lovers can join the Lego hunt, check out the giant Legoland, hang with Thredbo's marsupial characters and enjoy fireworks and flare runs.

Rossignol Ladies Day

August 5

Grab your girlfriends and ski with Australia's best female ski instructors, while testing all of Rossignol's latest female-specific skis and gear. Hang with the team for a champagne lunch, more skiing and then some apres.

Wine and Dine

Every Wednesday in August

The 2017 Wine and Dine Series brings together Australia's most exciting wine makers and the fine dining fare of Segreto Restaurant with a paired degustation menu. Hang with fellow wine lovers and learn from the vintners as they delve into the where, how and when of creating award winning wines.

Top to Bottom with Champagne

August 11-12

Thredbo's Top to Bottom ski race is traditionally the event of the season. Australia's longest and fastest downhill race on skis, snowboards, fat bikes and more, pits locals against locals, Olympians against first timers, and always ends with a party at the base of the mountain.

One Hit Wonder Mountain Festival

September 5-10

The spring festival features a 100-foot jump built on the top of the mountain with the world's best skiers and snowboarders launching themselves off it in the hope of winning kudos and cash. Add a thriving music festival in the base village and loads of poolside apres and you'll finish the season off with a smile, and a hangover.
