The Northern Territory is a bit different. Life moves in different ways in the Top End – and after spending a bit of time there you come to realise that that is a very good thing indeed.

This is one amazing place to visit, where not only the people are different, but the landscape is different and the wildlife is different, where everything seems so big and bold and never-ending.

This is the home of Kakadu and Arnhem Land, of Nitmiluk and Uluru, such vital centres of Indigenous culture and history. It's the land of Litchfield and Kata Tjuta, of the Larapinta and Karlu Karlu. It's the place to catch a barra; the place to see a croc. And so much more.

On this episode of Flight of Fancy, host Ben Groundwater is joined by fellow writer Sue Williams, plus Darwin-based guide Trent Lee to talk about the Northern Territory: everything to see, do, eat, drink, gaze at and amaze at in the NT. The trio will delve deep into the character of the Top End character and see what makes this place tick.

And they want you to come along for the ride.

This Flight of Fancy episode is hosted and produced by Ben Groundwater and mixed by Tim Mummery.
