Glamping tents open at Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs

Extending the zen after a day at the Mornington Peninsula's beaches just got that little bit easier with the opening of 10 glamping tents at Peninsula Hot Springs, 90 minutes from Melbourne

The tents, some of which overlook wetlands on the 16-hectare property, feature local timber, stone benchtops, private ensuite, walk-in wardrobe and a heated concrete floor using the geothermal waters.

Ideal for two, the tents feature a king bed with luxury linen for couples or they can be unzipped for a twin-share experience.

The stay includes access to all bathing sites, daily yoga, room service and a Fire and Ice session of a sauna, cold plunge pool, ice plunge pool and ice cave.

There's also an onsite cafe and day spa at the property that was established by brothers Charles and Richard Davidson in 1997, inspired by Charles' visit to Japan where he was taken with the country's outdoor bathing traditions.

There are over 50 hot springs experiences in the pools that are replenished with a fresh body of water every four hours.

Glamping tents cost from $650 a night; glamping and dine from $770; glamping dine and spa from $1260 a night.
