The world's largest travel review site has revealed the world's best travel destinations for this year in its 2015 Travellers' Choice awards.

Sydney was the only Australian city to make the top 25, coming in at the 25th spot. The country's most populated city made the list for its spectacular harbour, the Sydney Opera House at Bennelong Point and the cobbled streets of The Rocks.

The rankings were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in 469 destinations worldwide on the TripAdvisor sites, gathered over a 12-month period.
