The Terminal 3½ beer garden has re-opened at Melbourne Airport for summer.

Those who like to arrive at the airport early now have a new reason, with the reopening of Melbourne Airport's pop-up beer garden for the summer.

Called Terminal 3½, the name gives a clue to the bar's whereabouts – it's on ground level, tucked in between Terminals 3 (Virgin) and 4 (Tiger/Jetstar), beside the SkyBus terminal.

The bar features all things Melbourne, including Collingwood's Stomping Ground Brewing Company's beers and Proud Mary coffee, a splashy high-vis yellow design by Melbourne illustrator Justine McAllister and food trucks supplying the snacks, from Mexican to sliders and street Indian from St Kilda's Baba Ju.

Throw in deckchairs and big-screen TVs for a cruisy kick-off.

There's no need to fear missing your flight - there are information display screens in the bar, which is open for coffee at 7.30am, closing late in the day.

Grab a few takeaway tinnies of Stomping Ground's brews, which include a Laneway Lager and a guava-flavoured sour beer, as you're leaving the airport.

Open until the end of February. See melbourneairport.com.au
