Move over, superyachts: Somnio, the world's first and biggest 'yacht liner' is coming

The first words you see on the website set up aspirations perfectly – "By invitation only." Built for the one-percenters of the world, welcome to Somnio, the world's biggest yacht.

This giant, at 222 metres long, will be the largest yacht in the world "by both length and volume" when it sails in 2024, and if you have the cash and the right connections then one of the 39 apartments on board could be yours.

As you'd expect this is next-level luxury living. Each apartment on the six decks is bespoke with the likes of a personal kitchen, a gym, a library, and inside and outside dining areas. Naturally, you won't be expected to schlep your bags onboard, the personal concierge service will take of that.

You will have to share some amenities on board though, such as the 10,000-bottle capacity wine cellar and tasting room.

The big question of course is how much for an apartment? It starts at a cool $15 million, and organisers say some have already been snapped up.

Captain of Somnio, Erik Bredhe says the yacht liner has been "designed to exacting standards that are commensurate with a life of opportunity".

"Owners will share a truly unique lifestyle at sea, with a hand-picked crew and a never-ending global itinerary of carefully selected destinations and experiences befitting a yacht of this nature".
