The Paris-Orly airport may not reopen before the fall given a slump in traffic due to the coronavirus epidemic, French newspaper Les Echos reported Sunday, without saying where it got the information.

The larger Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport will absorb all traffic this summer, according to the newspaper. Orly has been closed to commercial traffic since April 1.

Air traffic dropped dramatically as countries imposed restrictions on travel in a bid to curb the pandemic. Air France-KLM Chief Executive Officer Ben Smith has said it will take at least two years for traffic to return to previous levels.
