Taken on Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, the old and the new glow with life. A red sailed Junk carries a load of tourists off to get a close look at the famous light show playing across the sky scrapers of Hong Kong Island. Photo: Luke David -
This is a photo of my girlfriend, taken as we returned from hiking Roy's Peak, Lake Wanaka NZ. What made the moment so memorable was a calmness that engulfed the area as afternoon descended into dusk. Coupled with the magnificent golden glow that accompanies that time of the day, and the illumination of the grass as it peaked through the melting snow, this will be a cherished NZ memory. Close Quarters - tightly packed apartment living in Hong Kong. Apartments packed so close together you could almost reach out to the other side.As I was shooting this series, I could hear 'drip', 'drip', 'drip'. I was confused as there was no rain, then I realised that it was the combined condensation of all the air conditioners creating mini rainfall down the centre void of the apartment building. Incahuasi is a hilly and rocky outcrop of land and former island in Bolivia situated in the middle of Salar De Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat at an elevation of 3,656 meters (11,995 feet). Incahuasi has a total area of 24.62 hectares (61 acres) and hosts gigantic cacti which can be seen in the image. Photo: Norman Arnott -
Everywhere you look in Athens something is going on or where something went on hundreds to thousands of years ago. Such a cool city. Taken June 2017 from a rooftop bar. Photo: Christina Edgar -
This photo epitomises the charm and character that is provincial France. It was taken in July 2017 at Joinville located about 200 kms east of Paris. Large enough to maintain essential services like boulangeries, patisseries, and traditional cafes it was a delight to explore without the usual tourist crush found in the more populated cities and towns. In September 2005 we were fortunate enough to spend five days in the Loire region of France visiting some of the beautiful château: This one is Château Chenonceaux which is fact a bridge as well as a castle. After the majority of visiting tourists had departed we were able to take this wonderful reflection in the tranquility of the late afternoon. Photo: Mark Allison -
Taken early morning of Hot air balooners over the Sossusvlei, Namibia was an experience of a life time , whilst on safari in Namibia in April 2015. Highly recommended. Photo: Richard Shakenovsky -
