Lord Howe Island is known for its sandy beaches, subtropical forests and clear waters. This small, eight-day group tour will see just 16 Botanica guests travel to Lord Howe Island to experience a variety of nature walks and to hear lectures covering the island's history, ecology, endemic plants and conservation practices.
The price includes return airfares from Sydney to Lord Howe Island, all meals, sightseeing and seven-nights' accommodation at the Leanda Lei Apartments, or the opportunity to upgrade to the Arajilla Retreat.
The tour will be hosted by botanical guide and Lord Howe Island expert, Dr Ian Hutton, OAM. Author, photographer and naturalist, Hutton has lived on the Island for more than 40 years and will share his expansive local knowledge of the island's biodiversity, including its endemic plant species, diverse marine life and tropical climate.
The tour departs on April 18, 2021 and costs from $6795 a person, twin share, ex-Sydney. Phone 1300 305 202. See botanica.travel
