At Traveller we’ve offered a range of tours to many corners of the world, with expert hosts from former ambassadors, chefs, conductors and more, all of whom have incredible knowledge and insights into the destinations. One of our most popular, and rightly so, is our spectacular Northern Lights adventure with the legendary British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
This original tour sold out within weeks, with many readers asking if there would be another chance to visit the Arctic and behold the dramatic Aurelia Borealis. Your wish is our command. We’ve again partnered with Hurtigruten, The Traveller Group (no relation), and The Telegraph UK newspaper, to announce a second departure for our Northern Lights tour with the esteemed Sir Ranulph as your guest host.
You will have the exclusive opportunity to meet one of the world’s greatest adventurers, with Sir Ranulph hosting special talks and a Q&A session during your trip. But that’s not all. Sir Ranulph will also join you on a special excursion to see the remote and spectacular North Cape, the most northerly point of Europe. “I look forward to joining you and revealing some of my highs and lows from 50 years of exploration,” says Sir Ranulph.
Our Northern Lights tour again includes several optional Arctic excursions, including snowmobiling, kayaking, husky sledding and sea eagle spotting. You can also visit the Snowhotel in Kirkenes, Norway, carved each winter out of ice and snow.
On board MS Polarlys, your Hurtigruten ship, enjoy insights from a Northern Lights expert who will explain the science behind the phenomenon, as well as a range of specialist talks on subjects including Norse myths and legends and Viking history. What’s more, Hurtigruten is so confident you’ll view the Northern Lights** that it will offer you another six-night cruise, gratis, if you don’t.
Don’t miss this latest opportunity to experience this impressive natural phenomenon for yourself and in the most distinguished of company. It’s sure to sell fast.
