Mongolia, October 2016, just day before the famous Eagle Festival Saliukhan is practicing the ancient art of hunting with his golden eagle. Across the mountains a large variety of animal are hunted for their fur that forms an integral part of the traditional Kazakh clothes. The skill of training golden eagle is passed on through generations. Saliukhan had his eagle for the last 6 years and once 10 years are passed the eagle is released back into the wilderness. It was amazing to witness the love Saliukhan had for his eagle during my stay in Mongolia. Photo: Biljana Jurukovski -
On entering Nevsky Prospekt in St.Petersburg, the view of the beautiful Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood at the end of the canal is breathtaking. This is only a taste of what is to come as the interior is awe inspiring. As you look to the ceiling the view is divine. Photo: Ian Grant -
This is the view that greets you at the top of the Great Saint Bernard pass. The pass is only open from June to September (snow permitting) and is one of the old ways across the Alps from Italy to Switzerland and onto France. If you're lucky, you may even see one of the famous dogs! Photo: Edward Rogowski -
At Agra Fort, India, it is possible to have a guided tour of the Emperor's inner sanctum where thousands of small mirrors decorate the walls and ceilings to capture and reflect the only source of light, candles. January, 2017. Photo: Peter John Waters -
Kochkor in Kyrgyzstan. Just after daybreak, a woman leads her small flock of sheep out of the enclosure around her house, where they have spent the night, to graze on pasture against the backdrop of the Tien Shan or Celestial Mountains. Photo: Peter Willadsen -
GIBRALTAR SENTINEL My wife and I were visiting Gibraltar from a small cruise ship. At the top of the famous Rock of Gibraltar, I was instantly taken by this Barbary Macaque sitting on a wall. It was a cold morning and most of the macaques were eating and playing around. But this one seemed to be in charge and was enjoying the warmth of the sun. He looked on top of the world. In the background is the Strait of Gibraltar, covered in cloud, and the Rif Mountains on the Moroccan Coast, protruding above the clouds. Photo: Peter Cooke -
I surprised two young deer while walking on a ski hill in Quebec over the Northern summer. They were very curious before darting off. Photo: Anick Graveline -
The Loire valley in France is full of wonderful and photogenic villages, chateaux and scenery.Chinon is just one of them and is well know for its wine, chateau and the historic village at its base. Chinon Chateau dates back to 954 and in the 12th century was the principle home for Henry 2, the King of England and King of Anjou. Photo: Edward Rogowski -
We stayed in a lovely apartment in Furore this summer, overlooking the Amalfi Coast and very close to the Furore Fjord (pictured), which was the setting for the Italian movie "L'amore" over 60 years ago. Furore is part of the "Italian Painted Towns", and considered one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, as well as a UNESCO world heritage site. Photo: Liesel Koelmeyer -
No prize for guessing where this picture was taken. This was my fifth visit to Rapa Nui in 20 years. A lot has changed on Easter Island during this time. Not the moais, though. They remain unmoved and rooted where they were on my first visit to their "birth place", Rano Raraku. Photo: Kirsten Walla -
When we left Hanga Roa early in the morning, the weather did not look promising. But by the time we arrived at Anakena Beach the sun had come out and cast a beautiful light on the resident moai. Photo: Kirsten Walla -
Road-tripping up the Western Australian coast, we spent most nights camped around a fire, metres from the beach and under the glow of the milky way. This shot was taken early into our trip at Sandy Cape Recreation Park in Jurien Bay. Photo: James Vodicka -

Ohrid or also called " Pearl of the Balkans " nestled along the Lake of Ohrid is undoubtedly very picturesque place and for a reason has been accepted as Cultural and Natural World Heritage site by UNESCO. Ohrid is also notable for having in the past 365 churches, one for each day of the year, however today, the number of churches in Ohrid is significantly smaller. The Lake of Ohrid is one of the deepest and oldest in Europe. Photo: Biljana Jurukovski -

With the sun setting over Raft Point in the heart of the Kimberley region of Western Australia, we had prime position to watch the golden light move over the landscape and illuminate the red rock formations rising from the Earth. This is the real Australia, the untouched Australia. Photo: James Vodicka -
