Emergency repairs: trains to Sydney Airport cancelled

Trains to Sydney Airport have been cancelled this morning due to emergency repairs.

The NSW Department of Transport advises people travelling to the airport to allow extra time, with trains suspended between Wolli Creek and Central.

The buses are so full no one can get on. Total chaos

Buses are running in both directions between Sydenham and Central, stopping at Sydenham, International Airport, Domestic Airport, Mascot, Green Square and Central.

Samuel Harvey said it took more than an hour to get on a bus from the domestic terminal.

"The queue of people waiting is about 500 metres to one kilometre long," he said.

"The buses are so full no one can get on. Total chaos."

Repair crews are on site, but it is not known when the train line will reopen.
