"If you are planning to walk the Camino de Santiago, Europe's great historical and cultural trail, you need to carefully consider when to begin your exciting journey. Depending on the time of year and the overall distance, you'll likely encounter days that are hot, windy, wet, cold and possibly snowy. The Leon to Santiago section of the Spanish Camino covers the last 300 kilometres of the trail. It takes in a good variety of historical towns and cities plus beautiful villages, many places of interest and some of the most scenic parts of the Camino. You will pass the Cantabrian Mountains before heading through the lush green pastures of Galicia. The rewards include fantastic scenery and a real sense of accomplishment. Typically, the best times to walk this section are spring (April to May), when you will see the colourful wildflowers, and autumn (September to October), which is a little drier and less windy."rawtravel.com/
