Scenic's luxury river cruise Space-Ships get an upgrade

How good can a river cruise get?

The sky's the limit for Scenic, whose newly renovated five-star Space-Ships now include the Salt Lounge, a therapeutic space providing non-invasive relief and health benefits in myriad ways. Guests can find the lounges on Scenic's luxury Scenic Diamond in Bordeaux and Scenic Sapphire in the south of France.

They come with a new spa and relaxation area, as well as a vitality pool and larger gym.

Soft furnishings on the ships have been spruced up and the number of staterooms reduced, while crew numbers stay the same.

There is also the new Scenic Culinaire, an on-board cooking school where you can watch cooking demonstrations and taste regional cuisine. Scenic Culinaire includes a cooking station, cheese and wine cellar and a camera and screen showing the chef's moves up close. Each class on the cruise caters for just 10 people.

Complementing the experience, in select ports guests can Shop with a Chef, sourcing fresh French produce at a local market, before heading back to the ship for their cooking class.

Scenic Space-Ship cruises are all-inclusive with private butler service, unlimited beverages and spirits, balcony staterooms and six dining options on board.
