Sanctuary Retreats is operating a bespoke traditional sailing boat or dahabiya on the Nile River in Egypt for four-night charters. Sanctuary Zein Nile Chateau features an upper deck and sun deck and indoor-outdoor spaces in public areas. The sailing boat, which has just four cabins and two suites, tailors its itinerary to the wishes of its 12 guests, from when meals are served to the timings of excursions. Visits includes off-the-beaten track sites such as the Valley of the Workers, which provides a look at the lives of ordinary folk in ancient times.

Seabourn is launching two new pre-cruise experiences on select Antarctica and Patagonia itineraries during its coming season which will take guests all the way to the South Pole. Both the pre-cruise packages include a transantarctic flight and landing at the South Pole as well as stays at Union Glacier Camp in the southern Ellsworth Mountains, one of a very few private, seasonally occupied camps in Antarctica. The tented camp has a spectacular setting for scenic excursions and ski tours. The extensions will be offered on Seabourn Quest sailings in December 2016 and January 2017.
